High performance and rich gadgetry at a good price is what we get from Asus. Yet additional functions could have been better integrated as three tails seems to be a lot. In all other respects we got only positive impressions.
The AOpen AX4R Plus is rather good, well-equipped motherboard ensuring high performance at a reasonable price. It features all necessary functions, works extremely fast and therefore offers a great combination of price and performance/functionality. Drivers for granite bay.
As far as functions go the test winner is MSI since with a built-in Bluetooth adapter this motherboard can be a good choice especially for owners of modern cellular phones. As for the rest it slightly differs from the competitors: IDE RAID with serial ATA, PCI sound, gigabit Ethernet and FireWire. The motherboard supplied with plenty of bundled software. The only complaints relate to overclocking functions but the problem will definitely be resolved in the next BIOS versions.
