It should be noted that was the very factor which had triggered the start of crisis in Russia, because of foreign credits being principal source of the home banking system, whereas increase of value thereof caused acute liquidity crisis and collapse of incomes of citizens in Russia.
One more important issue of the forecast has become the issue of “Atlantic unity”, i.e. an attempt to escape from crisis at the expense of alliance of basic states of the “Western” global project.

South African laws allow traditional polygamous marriages, though it is increasingly rare that young people have several wives. Firstly, it is deemed old-fashioned, and secondly, it is too expensive. However, some tribes still have the tradition of polygyny.

The final poll will become known on late evening of Thursday. Though, the citizens already know the winner, and the media are focused on the question who will become the official President’s companion. Some people consider that Zuma will pay a tribute to the tradition and prefer the first wife; the others would like to see a younger woman as the first lady. There are rumors that Zuma will appear in public without a wife at all, accompanied by his daughter. The African National Congress representatives and the would-be President himself refuse to comment on this.

Of course, Jacob Zuma will not be the first polygamous world leader. For instance, one can just guess how many wives the rulers of some Persian Gulf country has. But it does not prevent official ‘first ladies’ of Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia to be engaged in charity or advocate women’s rights. Nevertheless, pictures of these women are never in the press.

Jacob Zuma is known as a scandalous politician. In 2006, he was accused of raping a HIV-positive woman but later on he was justified. Zuma is the author of the phrase shocking for everybody: ‘one can wash AIDS away in the shower’. He is also known as a person who called same-sex marriages ‘a disgrace to God’, but on the eve of the SAR parliamentary poll he promised to support the law on legalization of homosexual marriages.

Zuma advocates populist economic steps promising redistribution of wealth and calls himself ‘a socialist’; he is indeed supported by South African socialists and communists.
